rDPX v2: Bonding for rtETH

Good mnueenis my beloved readers and welcome to CEO’s overview on bonding for $rtETH.

If you are someone who wants $rtETH and holds:

  1. $rDPX and $ETH
  2. $rDPX only
  3. $ETH only
  4. dbrDPX

Then this is the correct article for you.

If you are interested in earning yield on $ETH, check out our Perpetual Put Vault article here.

We proceed people!

What is rtETH?

$rtETH is Dopex’s yield-bearing synthetic for $ETH which is minted via a bonding process that requires $rDPX and/or $ETH.

$rtETH can be staked on Dopex to earn yield from multiple sources including Convex, protocol revenue, and other rewards.

How do I bond?

Bonding occurs when a user (or users) bond 75% $ETH and 25% $rDPX to Dopex. Bonders will receive $rtETH with a bonding discount (if active) after a 1 day vesting period.

There are multiple pathways for bonding - feel free to skip ahead to the section relevant to you.

I have $rDPX and $ETH and want $rtETH

If you hold $rDPX and $ETH, you may bond directly for $rtETH.

I have $ETH only and want $rtETH

A Dopex user that does not have $rDPX? Preposterous.

No matter, you will be able to delegate your $ETH to take full advantage of the v2 system!

Delegate Pool

Deposit your $ETH in the delegate pool and select your delegate fee.

Your $ETH may be utilized by $rDPX only bonders to mint $rtETH. You will receive your share of the minted $rtETH as well as an additional share of the bonding discount based on your delegate fee.

You may withdraw your $ETH at any time if it has not been utilized.

I have $rDPX only and want $rtETH

In the $ETH only section you will notice that some users may choose to deposit $ETH in the delegate pool. As an $rDPX holder, you can use this pool to bond for $rtETH without providing $ETH yourself.

You will receive $rtETH corresponding to your share of total bonded value less a fee set by your chosen $ETH delegate.

I have dbrDPX and want $rtETH

NOTE: dbrDPX will not be available at launch  - keep your eye on Dopex socials for a release date.

dbrDPX is decaying, bondable $rDPX which is earned to compensate writer losses on the Dopex platform.

It can be used to substitute for equivalent $rDPX during the bonding process.

Closing Comments

Hopefully this has been an insightful journey into how one might get their clammy little hands on Dopex’s precious yield-bearing synthetic $rtETH buckarinos.
